Taronga Zoo is one of my favorite spots in Sydney. It has a great view of the city from it’s wonderful cable car, barrier-free exhibits where you can be up close with the native animals, and unlike many zoos seems to play an active role in animal conservation.
The last time we visited in May we had the privilege to witness the lion pride being fed (from above, never by hand, to minimize their interaction with humans). We got to see these fascinating animals up close and get some amazing photos. We even managed to grab this, one of my favorite wildlife shots of all time.
Hope your weekend holds something just as breathtaking! Happy Friday!
