Today marks two years since I started Seek New Travel in a chilly studio in Boston. It seems like just yesterday I was writing the one year anniversary post, but time sure flies when you’re having fun!
This last year was a blast. I visited 14 countries in 2012, so counting New Zealand my total is now up to 34 countries! It doesn’t sound like a lot compared to other frequent travelers but I attempt to value quality over quantity.
Speaking of New Zealand, here are our plans for the next four weeks on the North Island: we’re leaving Auckland today and heading for the Coromandel Peninsula, the Bay of Plenty, Hobbiton, the Waitomo Glowworm Caves, Rotorua, Taupo, Napier and finishing up in Wellington.
We’re definitely not taking it easy like proper digital nomads, but we’re going to have a TON of fun racing all over this beautiful island! I can’t wait to dig up my own hot spring on Hot Water Beach, go Zorbing in Rotorua and taste plenty of wine in Napier. For a relatively small country, there’s an incredible amount to see and do here. Three months won’t be enough, but I’m going to try!
As for the next year on the blog, you can expect plenty of stories from some awesome countries (Australia! Hong Kong!), lots of posts about burgers and even more packing tips.
As always, if there’s anything you’d like to read more (or less!) about let me know. I do this blog for myself, but it’s miraculously found a small army of loyal readers and I always love hearing from you guys.
Looking forward to what the next year will bring!

Congratulation, keep on blogging.
Greetings,
Filip
